Colza is an oilseed crop widely cultivated for fodder and industrial purposes. Rapeseed is cold-resistant, unpretentious in care, grows on almost any soil, and gives optimal yield after cereals, fodder, legumes and potatoes.
Peculiarities
In preparation for sowing, it’s recommended to apply conditioners SatoSoil® to improve the agrophysical properties of the soil, as well as seed treatment with Sato® Seeds to increase the immune protection of seedlings and optimal germination.
For the cultivation of fallow lands, we recommend using SatoSoil® pHoenix, which successfully corrects the pH of acidic and saline soils, binds heavy metals and radionuclides into insoluble complexes, removes excess nitrates and potassium salts.
Rapeseed, like other cabbage crops, is sensitive to a wide range of diseases caused by fungal spores, nematodes and cabbage pests. SatoHum® SiO silicon-containing humate is indicated to increase own plant protection and to reduce stress factors associated with adverse weather conditions – sudden changes in temperature, excessive humidity or drought.
Colza doesn’t require active nitrogen feeding, but is sensitive to potassium, boron and molybdenum deficiencies. Spotted and shriveled old leaves, yellowing and twisting of the leaves up are clear signs of potassium starvation.
We recommend applying SatoHum® K-B-Mo nutritional formulation on leaves for uniform stemming and pod formation. Preparations rich in humic and fulvic acids form a natural barrier to pathogenic protozoa.
4 Sato® Steps – recommendations for fertilization and top dressing for colza
